Royal Mail collects, sorts and delivers letters and parcels across the UK, providing postal, logistics and delivery services to homes and businesses nationwide.

What we did

In this conceptual rebrand project, we took the iconic Royal Mail brand and revitalised its visual identity. We maintained the essence of the original logo while giving it a modern refresh, including refining the kerning, removing the previous outline and updating the Tudor crown for a more polished look. This ensured that the brand felt both familiar and contemporary.

How we did it

Our process began with a deep dive into Royal Mail’s heritage and visual elements. We carefully adjusted the logo’s typography, tightening the spacing and removing outdated features. We also modernised the crown design to reflect a more refined aesthetic. These updates were then seamlessly applied to various brand assets, like postal vans and uniforms, ensuring a cohesive and contemporary brand experience.

In revitalising the Royal Mail brand, our agency aimed to honour the brand’s rich heritage while introducing a modern touch. We began with comprehensive research into Royal Mail’s history, ensuring that the refreshed logo retained its iconic colour palette and key elements that the public recognises. This careful balance allowed us to simplify and refine the design, resulting in a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

Ultimately, our revitalisation project not only modernised the Royal Mail’s visual identity but also reinforced its legacy, creating a cohesive and engaging brand experience that resonates with both longstanding customers and new audiences.
